Job Description:
Semtech is hiring for an Intern- Data Analytics role. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following primary responsibilities:
- Identify and catalog various data sources, including sponsors, direct partners, and roaming hubs.
- Ensure data is accurately loaded into the internal database, maintaining completeness, consistency, and currency for daily operations (costs, coverage, traffic, etc.).
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on KPI trends for roaming sponsors.
- Track and update the progress of database-related projects.
- Develop automated alerts, reports, and data analyses for internal stakeholders.
- Identify system weaknesses and suggest optimization improvements.
- Qualifications:
- MBA with a focus on Data Analytics (preferred).
- Proficient in English; knowledge of a third language is an asset but not required.
- Advanced skills in SQL (PostgreSQL) and Excel (including VB, Pivot Tables, Macros) for data processing.
- Experience with databases and Python for coverage and pricing updates.
- Expertise in using databases and Excel for coverage and pricing analysis.
- Skilled in updating databases for roaming zones and ranking tables.
- Ability to translate technical details into business context.
- Strong business analytical skills.
- Demonstrated structured thinking, rigor, active listening, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Keen attention to detail, initiative, and sound judgment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative mindset to expand and enhance the mission.
